Institute for Standardization of Serbia celebrated the Day of the Institute

The Day of the Institute for Standardization of Serbia (ISS) and World Standards Day were solemnly celebrated on Thursday, October 2, 2025.

In her address, Tatjana Bojanić, Acting Director, mentioned the results achieved by the ISS this year. She particularly highlighted the publication of the monograph “90 Years of Standardization in Serbia,” announced the previous year. This monograph is the first publication of its kind dedicated to the development of standardization in Serbia. Based on materials collected from archives and libraries, this document provides an excellent foundation for future generations involved in this field.

Prof. Dr. Miloš Jelić, a reviewer of the monograph, also spoke about the book. He noted that the monograph is structured into five chapters, reflecting the five forms of state organization in which national standardization developed, and emphasized the significance of this publication.

The topic “A Shared Vision for a Better World – Towards the Future with Standards” was presented by Mirjana Mirković-Đorđević and Goran Bajić, heads of the standardization departments, who showcased the latest development areas in general and electrotechnical standardization.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of awards for the development and promotion of standardization. This year's recipients of Certificates of Appreciation are:
