A fibrous
mass introduced into the centre channel of a cylindrical casing
and on which the measurement will be made.
In the reference method, the fibrous elements forming the wad
are placed parallel to the axis of the casing. In the simplified
method, the fibrous mass is introduced into a chamber so that
the fibres forming the wad are placed at random. In borh
methods it is essential that the density of the filling is as regular
as possible.

U referentnoj metodi su vlaknasti elementi koji čine svežanj smešteni paralelno u odnosu na osu kućišta. U pojednostavljenoj metodi se vlaknasta masa unosi u komoru tako da su vlakna koja čine svežanj smeštena nasumično. Za obe metode je neophodno da gustina punjenja bude što je moguće pravilnija.
