Cast material, iron and carbon based, the latter element being present mainly in the form of the spheroidal particles, which, compared with the spheroidal graphide iron grades (see EN 1563), combines higher strength and toughness properties as a result of heat treatment.

Liveni materijal, zasnovan na železu (gvožđu) i ugljeniku, u kojem se ugljenik nalazi uglavnom u obliku čestica kuglastog (nodularnog) grafita koji, kada se poredi sa livenim gvožđem sa kuglastim grafitom (videti EN 1563), ima veću čvrstoću i žilavost, što je rezultat termičke obrade.
