The Day of the Institute for Standardization of Serbia

Every year, in the period between September 16 and October 14, the Institute for Standardization of Serbia festively celebrates the Day of the Institute for Standardization of Serbia and the World Day of Standards. The first date, 16 September, is important because on that day, the Yugoslav National Committee for Normalization (JNKN) was founded, back in 1934. JNKN is the predecessor of all forms of institutional standardization activities in our area, from which the Institute for Standardization of Serbia emerged. On the other hand, 14 October is a date dedicated to thousands of experts around the world who are working hard to adopt globally recognized international standards. It is celebrated by international standardization organizations ISO, IEC and ITU and their members, including the Institute for Standardization of Serbia. The theme of this year's World Standards Day is: " Shared vision for a better world - Standards for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)".

On this occasion, the director of the Institute awards thank-you notes to members of standards committees and other associates for long-term work and improvement of work in professional bodies, for special contribution to development, application and promotion of standards, as well as for the improvement of national and/or international standardization.

This year's ceremony will be held in the hall of the Institute on September 30, and the winners of the award for 2021 are:
