The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Belgrade celebrates a significant anniversary

Today, the oldest and largest faculty and scientific institution in our country in the field of mechanical engineering celebrates two important jubilees, 75 years since its foundation and 150 years since the introduction of the subject “Mechanics and Machine Science” at the University of Belgrade.

This year, the Faculty was awarded the Saint Sava Charter by the Ministry of Education for its long-term contribution to scientific research and the outstanding results achieved in staff training. It is worth mentioning that over 25,000 mechanical engineers, who have graduated from the Faculty, have made significant contributions to various fields of mechanical engineering, thereby playing a crucial role in the overall development of our society.

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Belgrade has held a position as a member of the Assembly of the Institute for Standardization of Serbia since 2007. Numerous faculty members actively contribute to the Institute's expert bodies, including its national standards committees.

As the cooperation between the two institutions is extremely important, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering today presented Tatjana Bojanić, ISS Director, with a Certificate of Appreciation for ISS Charity and Successful Cooperation on the occasion of the significant anniversary.

Higher education institutions are important partners of the Institute, whose aim is to continue working with experts from various fields, as well as with young people who are being educated in these institutions.
