Award of Recognition for the Institute for Standardization of Serbia for Successful Cooperation

To mark 15 years of successful cooperation, the Institute for Standardization of Serbia (ISS) has received an award of recognition from the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM International).

The cooperation began in 2010 with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the ISS and ASTM.

ASTM International is one of the most significant standardization bodies in the United States, founded in 1898. The first ASTM standard was adopted as early as 1901, and today over 13,000 ASTM standards are applied worldwide.

Since the beginning of the cooperation, 263 ASTM standards have been adopted in Serbia, and consequently, the domestic market was granted access to important international documents that support the development of industry and the improvement of quality.

As an equal member of European and international standardization, the Institute for Standardization of Serbia continuously works to ensure quality and access to standards for the economy and society. Precisely this approach and long-standing dedication to cooperation with renowned bodies such as ASTM International were the reason for the ISS to receive this important recognition.

Cooperation with recognized international standardization organizations contributes to the development of the domestic economy, tracking global trends, and the advancement of society as a whole.
