The General Assembly of the European Standardization Organizations CEN and CENELEC has concluded

On the final day of the General Assembly of the European standardization organizations CEN and CENELEC, held in Cyprus, representatives of 43 national standardization bodies signed the Cyprus Commitment, a document confirming a shared vision for the future development of the European standardization system. The declaration emphasizes the need for a more modern, digital, and efficient standardization system capable of responding to rapid technological and economic changes, while preserving the key principles of the European model - consensus, technical excellence, inclusiveness, and trust.

During the Assembly, Tatjana Bojanić, Acting Director of the Institute for Standardization of Serbia, was elected as a member of the CEN Administrative Board in Group C for the 2027-2028 term of office, representing significant recognition of the Institute and its active participation in European standardization activities. This will be her third term on this body, having previously served as a member of the Administrative Board during two consecutive terms between 2019 and 2022. As a member of CEN’s highest governing body, she will actively participate in shaping European standardization strategy and policy, as well as in supporting their implementation at the national level.
