Achieving energy efficiency by implementing standards

The goal of the public invitation is to achieve energy savings and its rational use, and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The invitation contains measures to improve the thermal envelope by replacing external windows and doors and other transparent elements of the thermal envelope, installing thermal insulation, improving the building's thermal systems, installing solar collectors in the installation for central domestic hot water and installing solar panels and ancillary installations.

The standard SRPS EN ISO 50001:2018, Energy management systems — Requirements with guidance for use, which provides a framework for establishing a system for the application of energy efficiency and organizing the necessary processes for its implementation, ie can help local governments to implement these measures. describes and defines energy management practices.

Increasing energy efficiency in business has never been more important than now. The reason is the increase in fuel prices, but, more importantly, the preservation of the environment and sustainable development.

Representatives of the Ministry of Mining and Energy organized the second meeting in a row with local governments, which provided financial resources for participation in the new public call for energy efficiency, with the financial participation of the Ministry of 70 percent.

After the second meeting, 136 local governments had the opportunity to obtain useful information on the necessary documentation, regulations, criteria and other issues related to the application procedure.

The public call for improving energy efficiency for all local self-government units will be open until February 17.
