In the new issue of the ISS Bulletin “Standardization” 04/23 (available at the link: https://iss.rs/sr_Cyrl/download/page-section/document/15293) special emphasis is placed on several young experts from our country who are early in their careers familiar with the standards.
European standardization organizations also wrote about Jovana Nikolić, a doctoral student at the Technical Faculty in Kragujevac and her involvement in the student technical committee at the international level: https://www.cencenelec.eu/news-and-events/news/2023/brief-news/2023-09-21-european-year-of-skills-jovana-nikolic/. This time, Jovana shared her view of this unique experience:
“As a representative of our country and convener of Working Group 6, I proposed a key topic related to food waste management and reached the final stage of the project, which is a significant achievement for the committee. This result is a testament to the collective hard work and dedication shown by team members throughout the project.”
Sandra Knežević, a doctoral student at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade, is one of the award winners at last year's National Student Competition in the field of air conditioning, heating and cooling (KGH). The awarded work is related to the international standard for energy performance of buildings, SRPS EN ISO 52016-1:
“With the idea of harmonizing with current EU regulations and the certification procedure in accordance with current standards, the master's thesis is dedicated to the study, analysis, development and application of the dynamic hourly calculation method for determining the energy needs of the building according to SRPS EN ISO 52016-1. By using the methodology of dynamic hourly calculation according to the specified standard, the analysis of the numerical calculation necessary for the application of the calculation was performed.”
In addition, we interviewed three former participants from Serbia in the IEC Young Professionals program, Mladen Ćirović, Željko Damljanović and Alen Gudžević, about their experience in this project.
