The International organization for standardization in the field of electrical engineering, IEC - International Electrotechnical Commission, has announced a series of free webinars where professional publications will be presented. The webinars are held within the IEC Academy (academy.iec.ch), a specialized online learning platform.
At the first webinar, participants have the opportunity to meet Timothy Jorgenson, a professor at the Department of Radiation Medicine and Biochemistry at the Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington. Dr. Jorgensen is chairman of the Georgetown Committee on Radiation Safety, an associate member of the National Council on Radiation Protection, and a member of the Science Writers Association. He is the recipient of the American Institute of Physics' Science Communication Award, and until now he has explained the risks and benefits of radiation and electrical technologies to the general public in many news programs and podcasts.
The main topic at the webinar is his book „Spark − The life of electricity and electricity of life“.
