The CEN & CENELEC General Assembly meetings will be held in Serbia for the first time during the period from 19 till 22 June, 2023. After several months of activities in cooperation between the CEN-CENELEC Management Center (CCMC) and the Institute for Standardization of Serbia (ISS), the registration of national standardization bodies for the participation in the CEN-CENELEC General Assembly is open as of yesterday.
The news that the Institute for Standardization of Serbia, as the national standardization body, has been given the honor of hosting the General Assembly this year was announced last year in Prague, during the previous assembly session. Then, through the Institute's promotional video, all representatives of national standardization bodies from Europe received their first invitation to this event, which is organized every year in a different member state.
Activities related to the organization of the General Assembly began immediately after that, and yesterday CCMC officially invited all member countries to attend this event. As expected, more than 200 representatives of national standardization bodies from 34 European countries will come to Belgrade on that occasion, and decide on further directions for the development of European standardization during the four-day session.
In addition, this event will be an opportunity to present our country as an attractive destination for investments.
