The Institute for Standardization of Serbia, like every year, will start planning its activities for the next calendar year. Adoption of Serbian standards is the most important ISS activity and therefore it is necessary to pay special attention to the selection of specific standards that will become part of the Plan for the adoption of Serbian standards and related documents, to include all those standards for which the need is identified.
It is also very important that the interested parties are informed about that, so that they can submit proposals for the adoption of Serbian standards and related documents that they need in a timely manner. ISS invites stakeholders and Serbian industry to propose standards that are of particular interest to them, that they will need in their work, or that they think may be of general benefit. In addition, it should be indicated whether this is a completely new standard, or a revision of an existing standard. The deadline for submitting your proposals is June 20, 2021.
Proposals should, first of all, include existing international standards (designated ISO, IEC or ISO/IEC), then the European standards (EN). ISS has an obligation to adopt European standards as Serbian standards (SRPS EN). Due to the large number of these standards and limited resources, most of them are adopted in English. If some company needs to have a certain European standard as a Serbian standard in the Serbian language, they can also submit the proposal. In addition, if they have an unauthorized translation of a standard into Serbian, submitting the initial translation will facilitate the work of the competent standards committee and make a special contribution to national standardization.
