10. October - World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day is celebrated to raise awareness of the need to protect and improve mental health for all. This year's theme is: "Mental health is a human right."

Working conditions are one of the most important factors that directly impact mental health. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the mental health crisis through the rise of anxiety and depressive disorders and the limited availability of mental health services.

The series of international standards for occupational health and safety (OH&S) management systems guides organizations of all types in providing safe workplaces for their employees. KS CASCO follows these standards in national standardization, having adopted SRPS ISO 45001, SRPS ISO 45003, and SRPS ISO/PAS 45005.

SRPS ISO 45001, Occupational health and safety management systems - Requirements with instructions for use, the most well-known occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system standard, provides guidance on improving OH&S performance and meeting legal requirements. It also enables organizations to integrate other aspects of health and safety, such as worker well-being, into their OH&S management system.

SRPS ISO 45003, Occupational safety and health management - Psychological safety and health at work - Guidelines for the management of psychosocial risks, enables organizations of all sizes and in all sectors to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses and promote well-being at work. It helps organizations develop, implement, maintain, and continually improve safe and healthy workplaces.

SRPS ISO/PAS 45005, Occupational safety and health management - Working safely during the COVID-19 pandemic - General guidance for organizations, is a technical specification that provides guidance on how to manage COVID-19 risks to maintain workplace safety, health, and employee well-being.
