This European Standard specifies the thermal and hygienic requirements and test methods for transport units used for short-time transportation of catering containers. Foodstuffs are packaged in these catering containers, complying with EN 631-1, which are fitted with a cover (e.g. lid) to prevent spillage. This standard is applicable for local and short-time delivery, only.
