Apstrakt

This International Standard specifies a procedure which can be used to determine the genotoxicity1) of water and
waste water using the umu-test.
This assay is based on the detection of genotoxicity of a test sample which increases the expression of the SOSrepair
system2) associated with the umuC-gene3).
