Cancels and replaces the first edition (1977). Describes four methods of assessing the resistance of coated fabrics to deterioration by accelerated ageing: Method A: Loss of volatiles on heating of plasticized-PVC-coated fabrics; Method B: General method; Method C: Tropical test; Method D: Ageing test for nitrocellulose-type coatings.
