The proposed metric for marine biodiversity monitoring and reporting aims to establish a globally recognized framework for assessing, tracking, and reporting changes in marine biodiversity while ensuring compliance with best practices to prevent biodiversity loss. The proposed metric will provide methodologies for reliable biodiversity monitoring, data collection, and reporting to support decision-making in conservation, environmental management, regulatory compliance, and commercial applications.
