Unalloyed magnesium greenhouse gases - Carbon footprint of products – Guideline for quantification

Apstrakt

This document adopts a consistent approach with "Greenhouse Gases - Product Carbon Footprint - Quantification Requirements and Guidelines" (ISO 14067-2018), specifying the terminology, definitions, basic rules, requirements, and guidelines for the product carbon footprint of unalloyed magnesium. This document applies to carbon footprint studies related to unalloyed magnesium. Carbon offsetting is not applicable to this document. This document applies to unalloyed magnesium produced by Pidgeon and electrolytic methods but addresses only a single environmental category, namely climate change. It does not evaluate other potential environmental impacts that may arise during the product life cycle, nor does it assess social and economic impacts that may occur throughout the product life cycle.
